The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), passed in 1996 and finalized in August 2002, is intended to ensure appropriate security of confidential Protected Healthcare Information (PHI). The parameters, covering both storage and transmission of PHI, are vast.

PDS will custom design the compliance manual, privacy policies and other documents necessary to gain compliance. Also provided as part of the package, is the employee training and certification of the Privacy Officer.
While no single solution is feasible for all practices, PDS has designed its products and continual update process to be modular in nature, thus allowing each practice to select only those services and products necessary to meet its compliance needs.
At the conclusion of the training, each employee will receive a Certificate of Completion for Privacy Training. Likewise, the office will receive a plaque to display, declaring the office as compliant with HIPAA Privacy Policies.
