Company History
PDS, Inc. was founded in 1981 and is known in the computer industry as one of the initial pioneers of 4GL software technology. A privately held Michigan corporation, PDS marketed PDS International software solutions throughout North and South America, Europe, Middle East and Pacific Rim. Additionally, PDS provided administrative, accounting, manufacturing and distribution for PDS companies, affiliates and/or joint ventures. PDS is a member of the Inc. 500, a member of the top 100 privately-held companies and received numerous awards for providing quality products and exceptional service throughout the years.
Often referred to as the PDS Networking Division, Preferred Data Systems was formed in 1991 to support the integration and computer service issues of the software client. As software platforms migrated to Microsoft Windows platforms the service scope and client base changed. In response, Preferred Data Systems incorporated in 1999 and began catering its services and expertise to all types of small and medium sized businesses. PDS has evolved into one of the premier networking service companies in Southeast Michigan and continues its success by providing professional and reliable computer networking services.
